App: Minodo →

Close to twenty changes landed in Minodo this week. I won’t walk through all of them; here are the ones you’ll actually notice.

The app now speaks 10 languages

Minodo is available in Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Montenegrin, Azerbaijani, Arabic and Russian. If your phone’s language isn’t on the list, you get English. In Arabic the whole layout flips right to left, while phone numbers, email addresses, IBANs and links stay left to right, and the logo is never mirrored. Weekly summaries, follow-up and booking notifications, and the AI-written texts all arrive in the language you picked.

The profile page people see when they tap your card, and the minodo.app site, now come in the same languages. The store listings have their copy and screenshots ready in all ten as well.

Plans are bought in the app

You now buy plans straight from the app, through the App Store or Google Play. The separate web panel for this is gone, and physical cards will be sold through an external shop rather than in the app. I also fixed a bug where a plan bought on Android didn’t show up in the app.

Bring your own NFC card

If you already own a writable NFC card, you can scan it in the app and link it to your account: Minodo writes your link to the card and it becomes yours. This needs at least the Basic plan. You can remove a personal card from My Cards; company cards can only be removed by an owner or admin.

More room on your card

A card can now hold several phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, emails, websites, locations, booking links and IBANs, each with a short label like “Office”, “USD account” or “Downtown branch”. The profile page and the save-to-contacts file show all of them, and existing cards keep working as before.

You can also attach a catalogue or brochure PDF to your card. The AI looks at the first page and suggests a cover, a name and a description; you approve it. In a company, an admin uploads the catalogue once and it appears on every employee’s card.

Behind the scenes

Starting with the next store release, 1.0.4, I’ll be able to ship small fixes without waiting for app review. Android is still in closed testing, and the Sign in with Apple button, which never belonged there, is now hidden on Android.
